Assists the General Manager in supervising and working with station volunteer staff, oversees all station operations including the administrative, fundraising and business functions of 99.1FM KLBP -LP, KLBP.org and all affiliated streams/broadcasts there of.
Social Media Managers are responsible for planning, implementing, managing and monitoring company’s Social Media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve Marketing efforts and increase sales.
Working hand in hand with the station’s Music Director, the station’s group of music curators will help filter through new music submissions and make recommendations to the MD about which tracks to incorporate into the station’s Music Library. Will also involve screening tracks for FCC compliance and completing music clearance forms.
KLBP has a commitment to the Long Beach and our neighboring Harbor communities to provide news, information and address issues of local concern with its public affairs programming. The News & Public Affairs Direction manages the execution of that commitment, recruits non-profit organizations and administrates those relationships and manages a team of volunteers to provide news. Previous journalism experience is required for this position.
Assists Fundraising Director in developing fundraising strategies, formulating solicitation procedures, and overseeing all fundraising activities. Identifies new donor bases, directs and coordinates solicitation of funds.
Primary focus is on researching grant opportunities and writing general grant-related copy.

Onsite Engineer at KLBP Station
Director of Communications will set and guide the strategy for all communications, website, and public relations messages and collateral to consistently articulate KLBP’s mission. The Director of Communications will ensure that KLBP is viewed as the primary source, disseminator, and conduit of information within this diverse network and constituent base.
Implementing the goals of the LBPM Board of Directors, the Director of Underwriting oversees the administration of sponsorships, underwriting and donations to the station, assists in identifying potential underwriters and represents the station in those relationships. Prior Sales or Marketing Experience is preferred.
The Marketing Coordinator works with the various members of the Marketing Team to execute a variety of campaigns and promotions across KLBP’s digital properties including, but not limited to web, email newsletters, and social media channels. Under the direction of the General Manager, and with the cooperation of the Long Beach Public Media Board of Directors, the Marketing Team Manager ensures that public facing communications are consistent across all channels and that they adequately reflect KLBP’s missions and goals.
Want to help us craft the look and identity of our station? The graphic designer will help develop marketing collateral for print and digital. This position will be vital to bringing visual consistency and cohesion to an eclectic mix of programming. Requires knowledge of various print and digital specs and Adobe Creative Suite.
Do you have skills managing teams, administrating projects and love being organized? The Events Team Manager has ultimate oversight of all our Events and manages the Event Captains who lead all our events. Under the direction of the General Manager, and with the cooperation of the LBPM Board of Directors, The Events Team Manager contributes to and oversees event planning for all KLBP functions.
Are you someone who is good at throwing parties? Under the direction of the Event Committee Chair, our Event Captains helm an event and manage it from conception to execution. In cooperation with the Underwriting and Development, they assist in the addition and management of a fund-raising element to every event.
KLBP needs ambassadors to get the word out all over the San Pedro and Long Beach communities. If you can help out at a table, answer questions and manage two or three other volunteers, the Street Team Captain is for you. If your time is limited, you can make a commitment to help out just once-a-month. A complete Street Team training will be provided.
